Your Time WILL Come

Faithful Warrior :: Mirrored Eyes :: I Can't See Anything
Two Thousand Eight Hundred and One :: Whatever You Do
State of Disunion Unrest :: Have Some Vision
Your Time WILL Come :: Destiny Is Taking Forever

How very empty I do feel at times
Oh how often I do feel so alone
Despite the many people I've been close to in life
Despite the many people I've intimately known
See I was nineteen just yesterday
My how quickly old that I have grown

I really was nineteen just yesterday
But what if my last breath was today?
But there's no way…that I can die
31 to many is just a young buck
There's no way that I can die
Not with all my awesome luck

But who am I kidding?
My own ending is one of the great fears I know
As this body will decay into the earth
This was written in the stars…many years ago
Back in a time before the day of my birth
Yet I choose to ignore this fact
Thinking just like any typical human fool
Worrying what some stranger thinks about me
Or if those who don't love me find me to be cool

Don't just sit there and lie to yourself…dear poet
Open your mind, the grave is one day nearer
Harness the great angel inside of yourself
It's there, just look in your eyes in the mirror
Take yourself to school…my poet
It's your very own life that's passing you by
For those in life who love you most dearly
Are nearly ready to earn their wings and fly

And there you'll cry…drowning in regret
With a heavy heart forever…in all time
See... your own mind is deceiving itself!!!
For your life's focus is over 10 miles wide
Instead of being like a laser beam
With a clear focus on your last breath
Because the day will come my friend
When they all gather to mourn …your death

How will they speak your name?
When you look into the crystal ball of time
Will you overdose while driving the school bus?
Or will you be a gem the future world finds?
Wake from your dream now poet
It's time that you open up your eyes
Sit up and get a clear focus
So that you clearly see your life's signs
And listen real closely to your own inner heart
For each moment is a new beginning
A solid and fixed position on which to start

So be smart, for we'll be gone…tomorrow
And so will our loved ones despite our sorrow
Time you can't borrow
Nor can you lend or expect to get it back
Ride the angel inside your own heart…my friend
For your physical finality is simply…a fact
