You see the pictures of our
soldiers taken prisoner?
The ones displayed on Al Jazeera TV?
Ya so did the parents of those slaughtered
And put on stage for the whole world to see
…I am all about having freedoms
Freedom of press and freedom of speech
But morality plays a role
too
Where's the discretion in what they say and teach
With freedom comes responsibility
Responsibility for actions and roles you play
The universe has accountability
Speak openly but in a civilized way
You can protest if you want
In this free country you have that right
But then the peaceful protestor
gets violent
And sprays mace on a cop in a fight!
Blocking traffic at rush hour playing dead
As a soldier lies injured in a hospital bed?
He shouldn't be disrespected with pointless pessimism
By someone wasting tax money increasing our risk of terrorism
POWs parents are watching for them on TV
So I don't think its cool you pretend to be dead
On streets people die for
so you can live free!
The war has already started people
What is it you think you're gonna do?
Stop the war machines from turning?
You are just dissing people who fight for you
Maybe you really hate the world
And the protestor disguise is
all a big charade
Maybe if you're an American soldier
You're the guy killing his own troops
with a grenade!
I understand there's disagreements, but it's too late
The game already started for your home team
Your teammates need you to motivate
Or else you're helping Saddam's evil regime!
Time for division should now be gone
Time to make a decision
Decide which sideline you're on
It's one or the other
Either this or that side
Cause you ain't the brave one playing the game
Dodging bullets on the front
line with pride!
I know we are doing what's right!
Now more than ever I
feel it the most
After our troops found that painting of 9-11
I saw it on the cover of the NY Post!
Maybe to some this isn't disturbing
They'll see it as art and say it's just fine
And I'm sure if the UN won't link this to terrorism
But in my eyes it's one hell of
a sign!
Each protestor arrested is a point for Iraq
If you can't comprehend that
Then go study their plan of attack!
There are more than just bullets
To fight with in this day and time
Propaganda is a sharp weapon
MY words are too, so HEAR my fucking rhyme!
Our troops are fighting and dying out
there!
This enemy doesn't operate like we do friend
Research how its army conducts warfare
They use chaos as a means to an end
They have no such thing as "just or fair"
The most basic rules in life they suspend
A caring country protects its
civilians
They don't put guns to their heads to fight
Or store weapons in elementary schools and hospitals
Making them targets for a bombing strike
They wore our dead soldier's
uniforms
And then on camera killed their own
Just so they could get it on film!
How's THAT for
human morality being blown?
…Please hear these words I'm saying
Examine the dusk and you'll see the light
Look at all sides from every aspect
Find a ray of hope even in
the darkest night
Keep an open mind folks
And our creator will guide our truest sight
Their cruel suppression is much more than wrong
Here in the 21st Century they no longer belong
The evil is so strong
That it will one day become legendary
With each tick in the clock of time
History …will deem
this war as necessary
It's easy to view any war as being a tragic mistake
But something had to be done for several reasons
Sad thing is for many people…its Too Late!
So if you really do care about humanity
And that's why you play dead in the streets
