What's the consensus of our divided thoughts of confusion?
As we ponder the current state of our divided world union
As we peer through the clouded haze in the master illusion
Please pardon our confused stupor upon the proper solution

A former President's name rides back in time on his son's modern saddle
As a decade later we ready ourselves for a prophetic apocalyptic battle
Saddam is not a moral man…This evil dictator is totally demonic
The deep seated issues carried through generations now seems ironic
They decided to let him live when the whole world knew he should die
The genocidal maniac shouldn't have been given another try

Divided we are, not only as a world but also in our own nation
Unsure if war is needed but it certainly seems eminent given the current situation
It's nice to pray for peace and avoid war and just turn the other cheek
But he builds his destructive arsenal, and it's only conquest that he'll seek
Where will that put us in the future…in an even more uncertain hour?
Can we prevent the immoral wizard from gaining too much power?

Well what about the documented torturing and the murdering outrageousness?
In this twisted man's actions there is no courageousness
He is an evil murderer planning and plotting to do us in
If his plan isn't ready yet, can we wait and let him begin?
What would a NUCLEAR SADDAM do in the future?
Does anyone really have any idea?
And not to scare you even more but…
Damn…We need to take a closer look inside North Korea!

"To make love and not war" sounds beautiful
We all wish in this late age that the world were free of evil acts
But the deception here is plentiful, and the satanic Warlord denies the facts
The ramifications of Iraq's leader growing in power are unpredictable and unknown
Remember, in his intentional inhuman acts he's killed THOUSANDS of his OWN!

"What has Saddam done to us?"
Is what some people have to say
Well, what had Hitler done to us?
If you're gonna think of it that way!

We don't truly know what he's capable of….after all how could we?
The inspectors are being led around in the dark
Don't you understand World? We are too blinded to see!
What's going on in that country, why won't he cooperate?
What if he has uranium we don't know about?
It's not like he doesn't have money to operate
SADDAM spells MADDAS backwards and he's evil, that's a promise!
If you don't believe me, then look up the predictions of Nostradamas

What kind of man is this?
Can we afford to simply look the other way?
What about back in December of 1941?
History recalls us unaware and asleep on that day

They attacked our sunny shores and destroyed our golden fleet
It ended four years later when we sizzled 200,000 with atomic heat
We killed over 100,000 people on impact with the first bomb we released
The greatest slaughter on humanity that anyone has ever unleashed

What if we lost 200,000 Americans in one fateful moment now?
The retaliation unleashed on the world would not make humanity proud!
Whatever we decide, remember, it's the fate of the world that's at stake!
Generation's futures hang in the balance of precise decisions we make

…We all want peace but can we really and truly see it?
…When we can't even get along with our own families, can we truly be it?

What is the vision we are trying to become?
Is it free of ammunition and pointed at no one?
Free from oppression?
And free from repression?
Free from racial injustice?
And naked aggression?
Free from evil enemies?
And dishonest suppression?
A world free of fear, anger, hate and depression?

I dunno man, it's all so hard to decide
You hope the experts we rely on rule from inside
Hope they listen to their heart's voice
Amidst all of the crazy turmoil
I pray if we fight that it's for Justice
Just please don't tell me it's all about oil!

Will we continue to grow into a truly great nation?
In line with the ideals which formed our foundation
A country that actually has NO discrimination
That rules governing with love and not intimidation
And armies that will set out with solely one course…liberation!

But that's not quite the world we live in yet
Today is a humbling and half-realized sort of place
A place we wait with fixed attention
For the Bronx born General to state his case
And then listen to The Leading Man, yet one more time
To hear him justify death in politically elegant rhyme
The deaths of Iraqi people and American Soldiers alike
Death of many peoples from many nations involved in the fight

Will it be positive in the long run?
In the future world where our children will be
Maybe somehow, shining under a loving sun
Will be an oppressed people that were set free

…There's honor and comfort in hoping that Justice will be done
…And Justice is an unfamiliar word in world's having none

People…As you drift off in a dream-world tonight
With sleepy fictitious thoughts in your head
Dream the nightmare of reality's flight
And pray hard you wake up in your own bed!

Say a prayer for our Military People
As they march with your loved ones in their heart
Pray they come home to see their loved ones
And for those who don't come back, for their part!
Say our prayers for the women and children
That will die in each other's arms
As they huddle frightened in terror and destruction
Amongst the explosions of the bombs
They sit in terror in the hopes they don't get blown away
God help these poor people
Help them live to see a better day
God please give our Generals wisdom
As they send our young into the fight
That they use their power with restraint
And at least use the slaughter for what's right!
Right for all our children, shimmering luminous in the end of time
And as a FREE people, step the course of history, guided by the divine.
